In Kaduna’s unfolding story of reform and renewal, Hon. Sadiq Mamman Lagos, the Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, stands out as one of the strongest pillars supporting Governor Uba Sani’s administration.
Widely admired for his humility, hard work, and loyalty, Mamman Lagos has become a symbol of the Governor’s inclusive governance style and commitment to the grassroots.
Since his appointment, Mamman Lagos has worked tirelessly to translate Governor Uba Sani’s policies into tangible results at the local level. From restructuring local councils to strengthening traditional institutions, his ministry has become the bridge connecting government to the people.

Under his stewardship, the Ministry of Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs has witnessed renewed efficiency, with strong support from the Governor. Working hand-in-hand with local councils, the ministry has improved project monitoring, enhanced rural infrastructure, and prioritised welfare initiatives that touch the lives of ordinary citizens.
Mamman Lagos attributes these successes to the Governor’s open-door policy and hands-on approach to governance.
“Governor Uba Sani is practical, people-centred, and deeply compassionate. His love for the poor is genuine, and his results in education, security, and social empowerment speak for themselves,” he notes.
