Stakeholders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) from Ikara Local Government Area of Kaduna State have commended the Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Hon. Sadiq Mamman Lagos, for his continued support, mentorship and empowerment of grassroots leaders in the area.
The stakeholders made the commendation when they paid a courtesy visit to the Commissioner at his Marafa residence in Kaduna, where they expressed appreciation for the fatherly role he has continued to play in the political career of their daughter, Hon. Hafsat Yusuf Paki.
They particularly thanked Mamman Lagos for the opportunities, guidance, encouragement and other gestures he had extended to Paki, describing the Commissioner’s relationship with her as that of a father and daughter rather than that of a political principal and aide.
The delegation also appreciated the Commissioner for entrusting Paki with the responsibility of serving as his Director of Media and Publicity, saying the position had provided her with valuable opportunities to develop her capacity and contribute to public service.
According to them, the Commissioner’s consistent support and encouragement had played an important role in Paki’s political growth, adding that his willingness to nurture young leaders demonstrated his commitment to building a strong grassroots political structure.
The stakeholders further commended Mamman Lagos for his empowerment initiatives, developmental interventions and support for communities across Ikara Local Government Area.
They specifically cited the recent installation of solar-powered streetlights across various wards in the local government, describing the intervention as evidence of the administration’s attention to the needs of rural communities.
The delegation expressed appreciation to Kaduna State Governor, Senator Uba Sani, CON, for creating an enabling environment for capable grassroots politicians and community leaders to serve the people and contribute to the development of the state.
They pledged to remain loyal to the APC and continue mobilising support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Governor Uba Sani and other APC candidates ahead of the 2027 general elections.
The stakeholders said they would sustain their engagement with communities across Ikara and work towards strengthening the party’s grassroots structures in the local government.
