National Volunteer Group On Covid19 has bagged Pastor Yohana Buru’s Award in recognition for mobilizing and distributing palliatives to the needy and the most vulnerable during the Coronavirus lockdown across Nigeria.
Pastor Yohana Buru , Convener of Peace Revival said the decision to honour the Covid19 volunteers was born out of his passion to acknowledge selfless services rendered for societal good , progress and advancement , adding that the Group consisting of youth who he said had mobilized themselves with the sole aim of providing help for people who were affected by lockdowns put in place to check spread of Coronavirus.
Acknowledging good work , according to the cleric had become imperative to encourage people to do more and also propel others to tow the noble line of extending hands of help and service to humanity.
Receiving the award , National coordinator of the Volunteer Group , Comrade Yusuf Amoke expressed his appreciation for Peace Revival Foundation for the honour of recognizing their service during the Covid19 lockdown , stressing his Group’s determination to do more in alleviating the sufferings of people particularly the downtroddens who he noted were the most vulnerable in emergency situations like the Covid19 lockdown.
Mr Amoke used the occasion to commend all the individuals he said contributed resources during the lockdown for onward distribution to families in dire need of assistance during the lockdown.
