The Chairman of Kada Warriors Football Club (popularly known as Uba Sani Boys) and Honourable Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Hon. Sadiq Mamman Lagos, received the victorious Kada Warriors team and management in his office following their historic triumph at the 2025 NFF President Pre-Season Tournament.
The courtesy visit was to officially present the championship trophy the team secured after a commanding 4–1 victory over Tudun Wada United of Kano State in the tournament’s final match.
The victory marked a major milestone in the club’s journey and further strengthened its growing reputation within Nigerian football.
Kada Warriors FC shone brightly throughout the competition, emerging as one of the most formidable teams of the tournament.
The Kaduna-based side clinched several individual and team honours, including the Best Player, Best Goalkeeper, Best Coach, and Most Disciplined Team awards, a testament to their tactical discipline and consistent performance.
The team’s delegation to the Ministry was led by the club’s manager and renowned former Super Eagles international, Garba Lawal, who commended the state government for its support and commitment to sports development.
He described the victory as a reflection of the government’s investment in youth and grassroots sports.
In his remarks, Hon. Sadiq Mamman Lagos congratulated the players, coaching crew, and management for their outstanding performance, praising their teamwork, determination, and professionalism throughout the competition.
He noted that their success had brought pride to Kaduna State and demonstrated the positive outcomes of sustained investment in sports.
The Commissioner urged the team not to rest on their oars but to remain focused and disciplined as they prepare for the forthcoming Nigeria Premier League season.
He assured them of the Ministry’s continued support and encouragement to ensure the club sustains its winning momentum.
He further reiterated the state government’s resolve under Governor Uba Sani to harness sports as a tool for youth empowerment, social cohesion, and economic growth, noting that Kada Warriors’ achievement perfectly aligns with that vision.
Responding, the team expressed gratitude to Hon. Sadiq Mamman Lagos for his steadfast commitment to their welfare and success since the club’s inception.
They pledged to continue working hard to make Kaduna proud both on and off the pitch.
