NDA Incident: Chanchangi Airlines Expresses Shock, Sadness, Condoles Buhari, Military Authorities

As solidarity and condolence messages continue to pour in from across the country over Tuesday Morning incident at Nigerian Defence Academy ( NDA) which resulted to loss of lives of military officers , Chanchangi Airlines has expressed shock and sadness , describing the event as tragic.

Executive Chairman of the Kaduna based air transport company , Alhaji Musa Ahmadu Chanchangi in a chat with newsmen in Kaduna expressed the Airline’s heartfelt sympathy for families of the deceased officers whom he described as gallant men who paid the supreme price serving their fatherland.While condoling the Commander in chief of the Armed forces , President Muhammadu Buhari , Commandant of NDA Maj Gen IM Yusuf , Chanchangi enjoined Nigerians to support the authorities , gallant troops in particular in the fight against banditry , insurgency and other forms of insecurity across the nation , noting that cooperation of citizens with useful information cannot be overemphasized in winning the war against terrorists in whatever form and disguise .

He described the Nigerian Armed forces , the Army in particular as a long time partner of Chanchangi Airlines in mutual principle , commitment , zeal and passion to develop the country , making it safe for business and pleasure.

Chanchangi recalled with nostalgia the period the airline served as official carrier of United Nations airlifting Nigerian peacekeeping troops to different countries , revealing that the country’s soldiers won global medals and laurels for their professionalism and heroic exploits in ensuring peace abroad.

” It is a sad moment for the country especially coming at a time our air and ground troops are making remarkable gains against insecurity and ridding our land of insurgency.

” May God be with the families in their period of grief and console them in His special ways so they will come out strong .

” I must also extend my sympathy to Governor Malam Nasiru elRufai who has shown serious commitments in making Kaduna State safe and a business hub in the North , ” Chanchangi noted.

Speaking in a similar vein also , Managing Director of the Airline , Mr. Trevor Worthington , while expressing his condolences to Nigerians , prayed for sustainable peace in Nigeria and wished the deceased officers peaceful transition.
