Lenten/Ramadan: Kaduna Pastor Distributes Grains To Promote Love, Peace Among Christians, Muslims

In the spirit of Lenten and Ramadan season, the General Overseer of Christ Evangelical and life intervention ministry, Pastor Yohanna Buru, has distributed bags of grains to Muslim and Christian Journalists in Kaduna state to strengthen relationship and promote love, peace and unity.

According to him, both Christians and Muslims are fasting in this season, hence the need to support them with foodstuffs which will promote peaceful relationship between them.

“It is really a thing of joy that both the Ramadan and Lenten season comes at the same time,” he said, while urging Muslims and Christians to use the Holy month in praying and fasting for peace and unity in Nigeria.

Pastor Yohanna explained that Christian are observing their 40-day lent, while the Muslims are doing their 30 days Ramadan Fast.

He said, ” fasting and praying has joined us to be more committed towards using the season to seek for God’s forgiveness and guidance”.

He called on the Islam faithfuls to use Ramadan as a time for spiritual reflection, self-improvement and compassion towards others while praying that the month enhances more peace and stability in our various community.

“Together, we can make a difference and provide hope for a brighter future of Nigeria, as we must remember that we are one family under God”, he stated.

Responding on behalf of the journalists, Mohammed Sabiu, appreciate the kind gesture of Pastor Buru for always carrying and remembering the media in all his doing.

He called on wealthy individuals to always help the needy during a season like this.

While appealing to state government to create an opportunity for massive employment to reduce  idleness and laziness among youths across the country.
