2027: Kaduna APC Distributes Vehicles to Mobilise Support for Tinubu, Uba Sani

Kaduna State Governor Uba Sani has intensified grassroots mobilisation for President Bola Tinubu’s re-election bid in 2027, with the distribution of vehicles to All Progressives Congress (APC) party chairmen in Zone 3 local government areas of Kaduna State.

The vehicles were presented on Saturday by the Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Hon. Sadiq Mamman Lagos, as part of efforts to strengthen the party’s grassroots structures ahead of the 2027 general elections.

Speaking during the presentation, Mamman Lagos said the vehicles would enable the local government party chairmen to reach rural communities and wards more effectively to mobilise support for President Tinubu, Governor Uba Sani and other APC candidates.

He described Kaduna State as strategically important to the APC’s electoral plans, citing its political influence in northern Nigeria and its significant voting strength.

The commissioner also called on northerners to support President Tinubu’s administration until the end of its tenure, arguing that the South should be allowed to complete its turn in power before the North seeks another opportunity to produce the president.

He noted that the North had benefited from eight years of the Muhammadu Buhari administration and urged the region to support the current political arrangement.

The Kaduna State APC Chairman, Hon. Atiku Sankey, commended Governor Uba Sani for providing the vehicles, describing the gesture as a demonstration of support for the party’s grassroots structures and preparations for the forthcoming elections.

Sankey called on the people of Kaduna State to turn out en masse during the 2027 general elections to vote for President Tinubu, Governor Uba Sani and other APC candidates.

He said the vehicles would strengthen the party’s mobilisation efforts by making it easier for local government chairmen to reach communities, engage voters and coordinate political activities across their respective areas.

The APC party chairman recalled that the party conducted a similar exercise ahead of the 2023 general elections, when vehicles were distributed to local government party chairmen. He said the latest initiative was also a gesture of appreciation for the commitment of party leaders and members.

Sankey urged the beneficiaries to use the vehicles strictly for party activities, particularly grassroots mobilisation and the coordination of campaigns, rather than for personal purposes.

He added that the APC had structures across Kaduna State’s 23 local government areas and 255 wards, which he said would be instrumental in its preparations for the 2027 elections.

On the campaign strategy, Sankey said the party would focus on issue-based campaigns, highlighting the achievements of the Tinubu administration and presenting facts to the electorate.

He also assured that the APC would abide by the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, conduct peaceful campaigns and encourage other political parties to uphold peaceful democratic practices.
