The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kaduna State has elected Muhammad Sani Haruna Dan-Azare as its new State Publicity Secretary, with party stakeholders describing his emergence as a boost to the party’s communication strategy.
Dan-Azare was returned through an internal electoral process conducted by the party, reflecting what members termed a collective decision to entrust the publicity arm to a committed and hardworking loyalist.
Party leaders noted that his election comes at a critical political period when effective information management and grassroots mobilisation will play a pivotal role in consolidating the party’s achievements across the state.
In his acceptance remarks, Dan-Azare expressed profound gratitude to party delegates and leaders for the confidence reposed in him, pledging to serve with dedication, discipline and transparency.
He paid glowing tribute to the Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Hon. Sadiq Mamman Lagos, whom he described as his political mentor, acknowledging his guidance, encouragement and unwavering support over the years.
Dan-Azare also commended Governor Uba Sani for what he termed visionary leadership and for creating opportunities for young and committed party members to contribute meaningfully to governance and party administration.
“I am deeply grateful to His Excellency, Governor Uba Sani, for fostering an inclusive political environment that allows us to grow and serve. I also sincerely thank Hon. Sadiq Mamman Lagos for his mentorship and for believing in my capacity,” he said.
He assured party members that he would work tirelessly to project the achievements of the APC-led administration, strengthen internal unity and ensure timely and accurate dissemination of information to the public.
Stakeholders expressed confidence that with Dan-Azare at the helm of the publicity unit, the party would be better positioned to counter misinformation and deepen engagement with members and the wider electorate across Kaduna State.
