The Founder of Kaduna International Film Festival (KADIFF), Audu Israel Kashim has paid a condolence visit to the Emir of Zazzau HRH Amb. Ahmed Nuhu Bamalli over the collapse of a section of the Zaria Central Mosque.
It was made known in a statement signed by the Personal Assistant to the KADIFF founder, Ambrose Fadoyin made available to our correspondent yesterday.
During the visit, Audu prayed for the injured that the Almighty God may grant them quick recovery and for the deceased, “may Allah grant them Jannatul Firdaus” .
He also used the opportunity to invite the Emir of Zazzau to the 6th Kaduna International Film Festival scheduled to hold next week from August 22 to 26, 2023 and also informed him that the emir of Zazzau’s palace will be one of the tourist locations to visit during this year’s Kaduna International Film Festival.
In his response, the Emir of Zazzau appreciated the founder of KADIFF for the visit and the condolences, assuring him of his presence during the 6th Kaduna International Film Festival opening ceremony.
While emphasizing the need for promoting and writing Nigeria’s local stories, be it in film or literature, he urged that film makers tell the true stories highlighting “Queen Amina” on Netflix which in his words, did not really tell the true historic events.
Audu was joined by some of this year’s festival organizing team, Johnson Erakpotobor, Terry Nyam, Tata Empress, Crack Samuel, Jonah Fujuno, Junior Tamba, Stella Abiodun and Maina lbrahim.
