Fanfare, Eulogies As Former Kaduna TUC Chairman Paul Jezhi Receives ECWA Honorary Doctorate Degree Award

Eulogies have continued to pour in, congratulating Former Chairman of Trade Union Congress (TUC ), Kaduna State Chapter Engr. Paul Yaro Jezhi who was honoured over the weekend by ECWA Theological Seminary, Kwara State amidst cheers and encomiums from family, friends and beneficiaries of various philanthropic gestures of the union activist.

The event took place on premises of the Seminary in Igbaja, Kwara State.

While conferring the honorable doctorate degree on the philanthropist Board of Governors and Management ECWA Theological Seminary said it found Eng. Jezhi worthy of recognition due to various human and community development thrives he had accomplished over the years in pubic and private engagements.

“The activist has been in the forefront of ensuring the betterment of the Nigerian society by contributing his human and material wealth for growth, progress and development of his fatherland.

“A man of honour, truth and compassion who is always willing and ready to extend the hand of generosity and magnanimity to people in need, especially the downtrodden.

“It is with utmost joy and high sense of honour, the Seminary is pleased to confer in Engineer Paul Jezhi the honorary degree of excellence in distinguished service to God, humanity and country, ” it declared.

The recipient while expressing appreciation over the award, stated that he was humbled to have been noticed by the Seminary and singled out for honour.

He reiterated commitment to continue rendering humanitarian and community development services for general good and development of the Nigerian society.

“I never thought I was being noticed by individuals and corporate bodies, particularly the theological institutions.

“I was only discharging my duties as a member of the society who I believe has a role to play in making it a better and conducive place for all.

“The award will inspire and move me to do more for my people irrespective of region, ethnic or religious affiliations,” he vowed.

Among the list of personalities in congratulating and eulogizing the doctorate degree recipient was Sarkin Yaki Bosso Prof. Casmir Obialom who disclosed that he had known Engineer Paul Jezhi for over twenty years performing philanthropic and human development activities.

He described him as a diligent and wonderful individual with zeal and passion for progress of the society.

While wishing him God’s strength and wisdom to serve people better, the professor expressed optimism that the award would propel Jezhi to excel in good and service to humanity.

On his part, Engineer Ephraim Pama stated that the award was well deserved, adding that despite the challenges of life, the awardee continued to show love and positively impact lives of the poor and less privileged.

Pama commended the Seminary for finding Engr. Jezhi worthy of recognition.

Also in a congratulatory message, DG of International Strategic Management Institute Dr. C.N.N.NnaEmeka felicitated Engr. Jezhi for bagging Doctorate Honorary Degree Award, describing it as deserving and praiseworthy.
