The Kaduna State Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Hon. Sadiq Mamman Lagos, was a special guest at the 2025 Pink Ladies Polo Tournament held on Saturday at the Fifth Chukker Polo and Country Club, Kaduna.
Hon. Lagos joined other dignitaries and polo enthusiasts at the colourful event, which showcased exceptional sporting talent and celebrated women’s growing presence in Nigeria’s polo scene.
At the end of the tournament, the commissioner presented gifts and trophies to the winners, commending the organisers for promoting sportsmanship, teamwork, and empowerment through polo.
Also in attendance was the Emir of Zazzau, Ambassador Ahmed Nuhu Bamalli, alongside several traditional and sports figures who described the event as a unifying platform that highlights Kaduna’s status as Nigeria’s polo capital.
Hon. Lagos lauded the organisers of the Pink Ladies Polo Tournament for their efforts in using sports to inspire confidence among women and to advance tourism and investment opportunities in the state.
He assured that the Kaduna State Government under Governor Uba Sani remains committed to supporting initiatives that foster gender inclusion, peacebuilding, and youth development through sports.
