CSR: 2,500 Benefit From National Ear Care Center Free Treatment

As part of their usual Cooperate Social Responsibility (CSR), the National Ear Care Center has carried out outreach in two local government areas of Kaduna metropolis, no fewer than 2,500 people have benefitted from free treatment and drugs.
The benefitting Local Government Areas  are Chikun and Kaduna North.
Speaking at the flag off of the intervention, Medical Director of National Ear Care Center, Dr. Mustapha Abubakar Yero said that  this year’s focus was on free medication to take care of the less privileged.
“We have given them free Drugs, free consultation, we have screened them for diabetes, hypertension, malaria. We have also conducted free audiological screening, that is, we screened those with hearing loss.
“We started here at Nasarrawa, where so far we have screened 700 people. We did the same thing, free drugs, free screening and also free distribution of hearing aids,” he said.
Speaking further, he said the beneficiaries were also instructed on how to maintain their health and endeavour to report at the centre of they encounter any challenges.
He explained that their target it to reach out to all least 2,000 beneficiaries, but were overwhelmed and have already exceeded that.
The outreach is an annual event from the centre as part of its corporate social responsibility.
