Management of Chanchangi Airline has commiserated with Kaduna State Government, Zaria Emirate and the entire people of the state after Zaria Emirate
over the death of Sarkin Zazzau , Alhaji Shehu Idris who died on Sunday Afternoon in Kaduna at 84 after 45 years on throne.
In a press statement signed by Executive Chairman of the Kaduna based Airline , Alhaji Musa Chanchangi expressed his grief over the loss of the first class emir whose 45 years reign he described as peaceful and beneficial to the state and Nigeria in general.
He said the late Shehu Idris was highly compassionate and had interests of his subjects at heart irrespective of their religious or ethnic backgrounds , adding that the state would miss the fatherly counsels of the late Emir , particularly in times of crises .
” Late Shehu Idris had proven , times without number that he was a true father to all in the state , who hardly allowed a crisis situation in the state to escalate without meddling into it with an intent to bring it to an end.
” Crises of Kafanchan , Zangon Kataf , Sharia and the Political upheavals that engulfed the state in 2011 and how Late Shehu Idris in collaboration with relevant stakeholders made sure relative peace returned to Kaduna State is a pointer on how he played roles of an elder , a statesman and a troubleshooter in ensuring unity and peaceful coexistence amongst Kaduna people.
” He was a leader who put welfare of his people first before anything. His palace in Zaria was always filled with people seeking his assistance or interventions in their problems, particularly with the authorities , which he gladly interceded.
” His passion to see that his people excelled in every sphere of life cannot be overemphasized . He made sure they were enlisted in various arms of the service and ensured out of school children were taken back to classrooms. Many of whom are now graduates , doing well in different sectors of the economy.
” We at Chanchangi Airlines will remain grateful to him for being a father who looked out for his children in their times of need. ” Chanchangi said.
He urged Governor Nasiru elRufai to immortalize the late Emir by dedicating and naming an important public institution after him.
