Be Ready To Defend Nigeria’s Territorial Integrity, NDA Commandant Tasks Cadets

Cadets of the Nigerian Defence Academy (NDA) have been tasked on the need to be ready to defend the integrity of Nigeria with their sweat and blood upon their commissioning.
Commandant of the academy, Major General Ibrahim Manu Yusuf made the call at the Commandant’s Luncheon in honour of passing out cadets of short service course (SSC) 47 held in Kaduna.
Major General Ibrahim Manu Yusuf explained that regardless of their aim of joining the Army, the purpose would be set on default upon commissioning, hence, they should be ready to answer professional calling in that regard.
He charged them to be open minded in learning on the job and always ask their superiors, questions on anything they don’t understand.
The Commandant noted that for cadets to be successful in life, they should imbibe the habit of giving back to their parents, guardians and siblings, which according to him, entails earning their goodwill.
Major General Yusuf also charged the cadets to avoid engaging in acts capable of bringing shame and embarrassment to themselves and their families.
In his remarks, Chief of Defence Simulation, Armed forces Simulation Center Jaji, Major General Adeyemi Adetayo pointed out that training is the bedrock of any standing army, hence, they must be disciplined and submissive to all instructions given to them by appropriate superior authority.
He also charged them on being humble, diligent and have the zeal to achieve whatever objectives they set for themselves.
