Atiku Assures Women, Youth Inclusiveness

As campaigns for 2023 general election gather momentum with contenders for various elective offices wooing electorates with one form of enticement or another, Presidential Candidate of People’s Democratic Party (PDP), Atiku Abubakar has pledged to make women and youth 60 percent of his appointments if elected.
Atiku made the declaration on Sunday while addressing Coordinators and Secretaries of various volunteer groups in Kaduna.
Atiku was hosted by Chairman Dialogue Group, Dr. Mahdi Shehu in one of his educational facilities located along Ali Akilu Road in the heart of Kaduna Metropolis.
He decried what he described as monumental hardship he noted Nigerians had been made to go through since 2015 under the administration of All Progressives Congress (APC).
The Former Vice  President added that Nigerian voters should show their anger at the polls next year by voting out the ruling party which he accused of gross ineptitudes and insensitivity to the plight of the masses.
He promised to take the country out of its present predicament through an effective and timely response to issues affecting the welfare and general wellbeing of the masses.
Earlier in his remarks, Kaduna State Coordinator of Atiku Presidential Campaign Organization (APCO), Hon. Adamu Ahmed Dattijo revealed readiness of over Five hundred volunteer groups under his Command to mobilize grassroots voters for the PDP Presidential Candidate in the forthcoming general election.
Dattijo further stated that all  Coordinators had been mandated to deliver all polling booths in their wards by apportioning duties to capable hands who would in turn ensure compliance and success of the initiative.
He explained that two terms of APC had made the job of his coordinators easier because, according to him, electorates were already disenchanted with the ruling party’s eight years of insecurity, inflation, poverty, corruption and ineptitudes which he promised would be a thing of the past in 2023 with the victory of PDP in Governorship and Presidential polls.
Director General of Atiku Campaign Council, Governor Aminu Tambuwal in his speech eulogized leadership virtues of the presidential flag bearer of PDP, saying Nigerians would never regret voting him in 2023.
The Sokoto governor and former speaker House of Reps challenged APC to point out one thing it had gotten right, adding that the party only succeeded in taking the county backward in all ramifications.
He charged the volunteers to dedicate time and energy for what he called the most noble duty on well-meaning Nigerians of sending APC packing from all elective positions for the sanity of the nation.
Dino Melaye who is spokesman for Atiku’s campaign lampooned APC for not having a single former governor of Kaduna State in its Campaign team, attributing the development to bad omen  and loss of goodwill he noted the party had enjoyed in the past.
” You can see that we have three former governors of Kaduna here with us today.
” Former Vice President Namadi Sambo, Senator Makarfi and Ramalan Yero are all here with us which I believe it’s a sign of victory and a testimony that you  volunteers are not in the wrong train,” he said.
In the campaign entourage of Atiku, were his running mate, Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa, National Chairman of PDP, Iyorchia Ayu, Sensor Danjumah La’a and Senator Liyel Imoke.
Others included; media mogul Raymond Dokpesi, Senators Shehu Sani, Abdul Ningi,  Sule Lamido,  among other prominent party bigwigs of PDP.
