The Kaduna State Government has distributed essential drugs and delivery kits to the Primary Health Care Centre in Rafin Guza as part of efforts to improve access to quality healthcare services at the grassroots.
The distribution was carried out through the Ministry of Local Government Affairs under the leadership of the Commissioner, Hon. Sadiq Mamman Lagos, in line with Governor Uba Sani’s commitment to strengthening primary healthcare delivery across the state.
Speaking during the exercise, Mamman Lagos said the intervention reflects the administration’s determination to ensure that no community is left behind in accessing quality and affordable healthcare services.
He noted that the provision of essential medicines and delivery kits would significantly improve maternal and child healthcare in the community.
The Commissioner commended Governor Uba Sani for placing the welfare of the people at the centre of governance, describing healthcare as one of the key pillars of the administration’s development agenda.
According to him, the Governor has consistently demonstrated an unwavering commitment to improving the health and wellbeing of Kaduna residents.
Mamman Lagos said the Uba Sani administration has continued to invest in upgrading primary healthcare facilities, providing medical equipment, recruiting health workers and ensuring the steady supply of essential drugs to health centres across the state.
He added that the administration’s reforms are restoring public confidence in government-owned health facilities by making healthcare more accessible, especially for women, children and vulnerable groups in rural communities.
The Commissioner further noted that beyond the health sector, Governor Uba Sani has continued to implement policies and programmes aimed at improving education, agriculture, infrastructure, rural development and social welfare, thereby enhancing the living standards of the people.
He urged healthcare workers at the Rafin Guza Primary Health Care Centre to make judicious use of the drugs and delivery kits, stressing that proper management of the items would ensure sustained benefits for the community and contribute to reducing maternal and infant mortality.
Mamman Lagos reaffirmed the commitment of the Ministry of Local Government Affairs to supporting the Governor’s vision of delivering responsive and people-oriented governance.
He assured residents that similar interventions would continue across the state’s primary healthcare centres as the administration works to build a healthier and more prosperous Kaduna State.
