The Family of Hon. Usman Ibrahim popularly known as (Sardaunan Badarawa) has recorded another landmark achievement as his son, Abdulkadir Ibrahim Usman, also known as Sarki, graduated with a First Class degree in Economics from a prestigious university in the United Kingdom.
Abdulkadir earned the academic honour at Nottingham Trent University, London, a feat described by family members and associates as a proud and historic moment.
His father, Hon. Usman Ibrahim, a former Council Chairman of Kaduna North Local Government and a Chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC), is widely respected for his commitment to public service, education and humanitarian causes.
Over the years, Hon. Usman Ibrahim has demonstrated a deep passion for education by awarding scholarships to hundreds of less-privileged children in Kaduna State and beyond, enabling many to access quality education at secondary and tertiary levels.
In addition to educational support, he has been actively involved in poverty alleviation and empowerment programmes, particularly for women, providing financial assistance and start-up support to help them establish small-scale businesses of their choice.
Hon. Usman Ibrahim has also distinguished himself through consistent support for the elderly, offering medical assistance, food items and other forms of welfare support to aged persons across various communities.
As part of his community development efforts, he has facilitated the installation of solar-powered streetlights in several communities, a move aimed at improving security, enhancing night-time economic activities and promoting safer neighbourhoods.
The graduation of Abdulkadir with a First Class degree further reflects the values of discipline, hard work and commitment to excellence instilled in him by his parents.
The achievement, family sources said, was made possible through the sustained moral and financial support of his father, Sardaunan Badarawa, who fully sponsored his education abroad.
