The Senator Uba Sani Support Group (SUSSG) once again demonstrated its strength and grassroots mobilization capacity on Saturday as it turned out in unprecedented numbers to welcome President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to Kaduna State.

The President was in the state to attend the wedding of Senator Abdul’aziz Yari’s son at the historic Sultan Bello Mosque.

At the forefront of the massive mobilisation was the Director-General of the group, Hon. Sadiq Mamman Lagos, who also doubles as the Kaduna State Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs.

Hon. Mamman Lagos, known for his organizational prowess and loyalty, did not disappoint as he rallied members to be on ground.

The crowd, dominated by women supporters, created a colourful and energetic atmosphere that reflected the unwavering dedication of the group to both President Tinubu and the Executive Governor of Kaduna State, Senator Uba Sani.

From the early hours of the morning, as early as 6 a.m, members of SUSSG could be seen in every nook and cranny from the airport road to Sultan Bello Mosque, and later at the residence of the late President Buhari all in honour of the President’s visit.

Despite a heavy downpour, the women of SUSSG stood firm in the rain, chanting solidarity songs and waving party insignias until the President concluded his visit and departed for Abuja.

To many observers, this display of resilience was not only a mark of love but also a testament to the strong grassroots loyalty commanded by both President Tinubu and Governor Uba Sani.

Speaking during the event, Hon. Sadiq Mamman Lagos reaffirmed the commitment of SUSSG to ensuring continuous dominance of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kaduna State.

He emphasized that the group, which is largely women-driven, has remained consistent in mobilizing votes “from top to bottom” and will not relent as the nation moves closer to the 2027 general elections.

“This group has come to stay. We are not seasonal. Our women have proven over and over again that they are ready to defend and deliver for APC, for our amiable Governor Senator Uba Sani, and for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu come 2027. What you saw today is just a tip of what we are capable of doing,” he declared.

Political analysts described Saturday’s turnout as both symbolic and strategic. With Kaduna being a critical stronghold in Northern politics, the SUSSG’s show of strength is seen as a signal of the ruling party’s preparedness to consolidate its base ahead of the next elections.

By weathering the storm literally the women of SUSSG sent a powerful message of loyalty and determination. Their commitment, many believe, has further cemented the growing influence of Senator Uba Sani in Kaduna politics, while reaffirming the enduring popularity of President Tinubu across the North.
