A frontline aspirant for Kawo Constituency in the Kaduna State House of Assembly, Hon. Abubakar Zulkarnaini, has intensified grassroots mobilization ahead of the 2027 general elections, calling on residents to throw their weight behind Governor Uba Sani while formally declaring his intention to contest the seat.
Addressing a large gathering of supporters and community stakeholders, Zulkarnaini said the meeting was convened to sensitize the electorate on the need for active participation in the democratic process, particularly by turning out en masse to vote in 2027.
He urged eligible voters who are yet to obtain their Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs) to do so without delay, stressing that the cards remain the only means through which they can exercise their civic rights during both party primaries and the general elections.
The aspirant highlighted the strength and inclusiveness of his campaign structure, noting that his team comprises respected elders, religious leaders, women, and youths drawn from the Constituency.
Zulkarnaini assured the people of his commitment to quality representation, promising not to betray the confidence reposed in him if elected.
He emphasized that his ambition is driven by a desire to serve, not a do-or-die pursuit of power.
“Power comes only from Almighty God, and it is in Him alone that I place my trust,” he said, while appealing to constituents to mobilize support for both his candidacy and that of Governor Uba Sani.
In a move to strengthen grassroots outreach, Zulkarnaini distributed modern motorcycles to selected supporters to enhance mobility and facilitate effective campaign efforts across communities within the constituency.
Several speakers at the event took turns to commend his aspiration, describing him as a capable and people-oriented leader whose emergence would bring meaningful development to Kawo Constituency.
