A group known as the Arewa People’s Democratic Party (PDP) support group has elected her leaders that will pilot their affairs, with Hon. Aliyu Adamu from Kaduna State and Hon. Desmond Minakaro from Adamawa State as it’s National Coordinator and National Secretary respectively.
Other national officers elected are, Adai Edwin Adai – Director of Publicity, Aliyu Mohammed Sani – Director of Youth Affairs, and Salihu Danladi – Director of Mobilization.
Zonal leaders elected at the 2024 delegate Conference that held in Kaduna over the weekend are Zakariya Idris (North West Coordinator), Hon. Benjamin Dan Coma ( North East coordinator)’ while that of the North Central is to be elected at a later date.
Also elected at the delegate Conference were state coordinators for the 19 Northern states and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).
Speaking on the election, Dr Auwal Baba Chairman of the Electoral Committee said, those elected are capable hands that will lead their members to provide needed supports for the party in all of the forth coming elections, while charging them to give their very best.
In his response and acceptance speech on behalf of other elected officials, the national coordinator Hon. Adamu applauded delegates for finding him worthy of the position, promising that he will not let down the confidence reposed on him
He said, “I humbly accept this responsibility bestowed upon me today with all senses of responsibility, fairness and dedication. I want to assure you that the 4 years of my leadership, will witnessed the most united and mobilized form of support for our great party, the PDP.
“The ongoing turbulence within our PDP is inevitable and with confidence on our highly respected members of BoT, NWC and NEC, our party will emerged stronger and more united with charisma to wrestle back power from the APC in 2027″.
He called on all PDP Supporters across Nigeria, to be more dedicated and work collectively by mobilizing the electorates for a self- healing process of getting the Nigeria back to consciousness.”With prayers, hard work and unity, we can heal our country” he said.
“I therefore, present myself as a selfless pilot to this noble responsibility. I will operate an open door policy and carry all along. I sincerely appreciate all of you and assure you that I will not fail you” he reiterated.
