Maulud: Zamfara Governorship Candidate Shehu Gusau Seeks Prayers Against Insecurity, Hardship

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) governorship candidate in Zamfara State, Hon. Ibrahim Shehu Gusau, has felicitated with the Muslim Ummah in the state and across Nigeria on the occasion of the Maulud celebration commemorating the birth of Prophet Muhammad (SAW).

Gusau, in a message to Muslim faithful, urged them to use the occasion to reflect on the exemplary life and teachings of Prophet Muhammad (SAW), particularly his virtues of peace, justice, compassion, humility, tolerance and love for humanity.

He called on Muslims to make the occasion an opportunity to offer special prayers for an end to insecurity and banditry confronting Zamfara State and other parts of the country, stressing that peace and security are fundamental to the development and prosperity of any society.

The PDP candidate also urged the Muslim Ummah to pray for the families and communities affected by insecurity, saying the suffering of innocent citizens requires collective prayers, compassion and decisive action from leaders and stakeholders.

Gusau expressed concern over the economic hardship being experienced by Nigerians, urging Muslims to pray for divine intervention, economic recovery and relief for families struggling with the rising cost of living and other challenges.

He stressed the need for citizens to emulate the teachings of Prophet Muhammad (SAW) by showing kindness to the vulnerable, supporting the less privileged and promoting peaceful coexistence irrespective of ethnic, religious or political differences.

The governorship candidate further called on traditional, religious and community leaders to use their positions to promote dialogue, reconciliation and unity, particularly in areas affected by conflict and communal tensions.

Gusau urged political leaders at all levels to prioritise the welfare and security of the people, saying good governance must be anchored on justice, accountability, compassion and a commitment to improving the lives of citizens.

He prayed to Allah Almighty to accept the prayers and acts of worship of the Muslim Ummah, bring lasting peace to Zamfara State and Nigeria, and give leaders the wisdom and courage to address the security and economic challenges confronting the country.

The PDP governorship candidate wished Muslims a peaceful and spiritually rewarding Maulud celebration, urging them to use the occasion to renew their commitment to peace, unity and service to humanity.

Maulud Mubarak!
