Sadiq Mamman Lagos Turns 61, Promises Stronger Leadership at Grassroots

The Kaduna State Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Hon. Sadiq Mamman Lagos, on Wednesday celebrated his 61st birthday in the company of family members, friends and top government functionaries in Kaduna.

The event, which held on December 31, 2025, at the Senator Uba Sani Support Group office along Rabah Road, Kaduna, attracted dignitaries including the Deputy Governor of Kaduna State, Dr. Hadiza Sabuwa Balarabe, Senator Shehu Sani, Commissioners and Senior Government officials, local government council chairmen and the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Local Government Affairs.

Speaking at the occasion, Hon. Sadiq Mamman Lagos expressed profound gratitude to God Almighty for life, good health and the privilege to serve the people of Kaduna State.

He thanked his family, childhood friends, political associates and well-wishers for identifying with him on the occasion, as well as the management and staff of the Ministry of Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs for their support.

The commissioner paid glowing tribute to Governor Uba Sani, whom he described as a leader committed to peace, inclusiveness and people-oriented governance.

He thanked the governor for finding him worthy to serve in his administration and pledged his continued loyalty to the governor and the people of Kaduna State.

“I remain deeply grateful to His Excellency, Senator Uba Sani, for the confidence he reposed in me. I assure him and the good people of Kaduna State of my unwavering loyalty, dedication and commitment to the success of his administration and the delivery of good governance at the grassroots,” Mamman Lagos said.

Earlier, the Deputy Governor, Dr. Hadiza Sabuwa Balarabe, thanked God for the lives of Governor Uba Sani and Hon. Sadiq Mamman Lagos, noting that both leaders marked their birthdays in the month.

She prayed for continued good health, wisdom and strength for them to sustain the peace-building model being pursued by the Uba Sani-led administration.

Dr. Balarabe also commended the commissioner for his contributions to grassroots development and urged him to remain steadfast in supporting the governor’s vision of peace, unity and inclusive development in Kaduna State.

The event ended with prayers for sustained peace, progress and development in the state.
