A renowned politician and a philanthropy, Hon Shehu Bawa ABG, has expressed confidence in Governor Tambuwal’s leadership capabilities to provide strong and vibrant opposition Governors’ platform needed to enrich Nigeria’s Democracy particularly, at this time that Nigeria, according to him was drifting towards a one party State.
The former Legislator said no Democracy would grow without a vibrant opposition to keep the ruling party on their toes and to constantly remind the Government in power of their responsibilities and oat of office which he said was necessary in a Representative Democracy as enshrined in Nigerian Constitution.
He described Governor Tambuwal as a man of integrity who had demonstrated high level of commitments to the project of building a United Nigeria through an inclusive consultations across Nigeria with stakeholders.
” It is a new and bright era at the PDP Governors’ Forum by the emergence of Governor Tambuwal, the era of having a divided House with no definite agenda of moving this country forward is over.
” Visions and masses oriented programmes would be vigorously pursued and implemented under the exemplary leadership of Governor Tambuwal who has a vast experience and calm temper needed to steer the Forum forward and unite all opposition Governors under one and United umbrella.
” Tambuwal is a man who will never compromise integrity and general good of the masses for selfish and inordinate ambition.” The ex Federal Legislator said.
He urged all opposition Governors to give the new Chairman of the Forum the needed supports and cooperation to succeed.
