The Kaduna State Government has dismissed as false a report circulating on social media alleging that Governor Uba Sani approved the creation of a Hausa Royal Dynasty within the Zazzau Emirate.
In a statement issued by the Office of the Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Hon. Sadiq Mamman Lagos, the government described the report as misleading, fabricated and capable of causing unnecessary tension in the state.
The statement said the fake report was wrongly attributed to Governor Uba Sani and claimed that the state government had concluded plans to introduce a new Hausa dynasty in the Zazzau Emirate as part of efforts to promote inclusiveness in the traditional institution.
According to the commissioner’s office, the publication went further to provide historical narratives on existing Fulani dynasties in Zazzau and falsely suggested the creation of a fifth dynasty within the emirate.
“The Kaduna State Government wishes to state categorically that the report is completely false. Governor Uba Sani has no plan, intention or approval to create a Hausa Dynasty in the Zazzau Emirate,” the statement said.
It stressed that the governor remains committed to preserving peace, stability and harmony in Kaduna State and would not engage in actions capable of undermining established traditional institutions.
The government urged members of the public to disregard the misleading information in its entirety, warning against the dangers of spreading unverified reports that could inflame ethnic or communal sentiments.
The statement also called on the originators of the false report to retract it immediately, reaffirming the state government’s resolve to protect the integrity of its institutions and maintain peaceful coexistence across the state.
