In fulfilment of his campaign promise to improve electricity supply in rural areas for economic growth and socio-political development, Governor Uba Sani over the weekend flagged off rehabilitation of vandalized transformers and power transmission and distribution facilities across eight local government areas in Zone One of Kaduna State.
The flagging off began from Makarfi Local Government Area, covering other councils, by the governor accompanied by party chieftains, traditional rulers, locals and government functionaries, including Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs Hon. Sadiq Mamman Lagos.
Uba Sani underscored the importance of stable power supply as catalyst for stimulating economic activities needed for development.
He maintained that no meaningful democratic gains can be achieved without providing electricity for the people, particularly those at the grassroots.
He vowed not to relent in pursuit of good life for the masses until the attainment of optimum level of making available basic infrastructures in rural and urban communities.
Mamman Lagos, while commending the Governor for his many human development strides, said the projects would go a long way in driving economic and industrial activities in the whole Zone.
“This is just a tip of the iceberg of what Governor Uba Sani will do for the people of the State as contained in his development agenda for Kaduna State.
“As you have seen since he assumed leadership of our dear State, he has initiated and completed various projects with positive impacts for the masses.
“People have seen his vibrant moves geared towards providing good life for the State, that’s why We are witnessing mass movement of politicians from the opposition to APC.
“All We want from beneficiaries of the governor’s interventions is goodwill accompanied with support and prayers for the success of the present administration to do more for the State.
“The Governor will leave no stone untouched and no sector unattended to in his drive to work for the people, “he assured.
