2027: PDP, APC, other parties endorsing Mutfwang, says former Senate Minority Leader

Ahead of the 2027 general election upon which permutations and other underground work has started, the former Senate Minority Leader, Senator Simon Mwadkwon, has emphasized that Plateau State governor, Caleb Mutfwang’s re-election in not in doubt.

According to him, the governor is already being loved by the political parties, including the All Progressive Congress (APC) as well as the governor’s People’s Democratic Party (PDP), not only in the state but at the federal level as well.

Speaking at the weekend with newsmen in Jos, the Plateau State capital, Senator Mwadkwon said the governor’s performance over the last two years has demonstrated his leadership qualities such that he is being admired at the federal level governed by the APC.

And so, he said, Mutfwang’s 2027 reelection is very assured, as the governor’s style of leadership has galvanized the two major political parties, APC and PDP, to see him as a common friend, and as such willing to trust him with any responsibility on either side.

“By all accounts, the PDP as well as other political parties, and by extension, the people of Plateau State, are comfortable with Caleb Mutfwang’s leadership style and the accomplishments he has made in just two years.

“I and the people of the state are therefore optimistic beyond all reasonable doubts that Mutfwang will win his election, and in effect the PDP will equally win at all levels in Plateau State come 2027,” he said.

Senator Mwadkwon however debunked the increasing insinuation several quarters that Governor Muftwang was among the governors scheming to dump the PDP for APC, explaining it the love and attraction for the even among opposition that is leading to such insinuation.

Besides, he said, the governor has repeatedly dismissed the insinuation of dumping the PDP for the APC, and that the governor remains in PDP and has not discussed leaving the party with anyone to the best of his knowledge.
