The Speaker of the Kaduna State House of Assembly and Chairman of Zone 2 Stakeholders, Hon. Yusuf Dahiru Liman, has led party leaders and stakeholders from the seven Local Government Areas in the zone in a fresh mobilisation for victory in the 2027 general elections.
The stakeholders, at a high-level meeting chaired by Liman, reaffirmed their unity and endorsed candidates from the zone, while pledging renewed support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Kaduna State Governor Uba Sani.
The meeting, which focused on strengthening party cohesion, grassroots mobilisation and coordinated electoral strategy, was attended by key figures including the Commissioner for Local Government Affairs, Hon. Sadiq Mamman Lagos; Commissioner for Budget and Planning, Hon. Ahmed Monrovia; and Commissioner for Women and Social Development, Hajiya Rabi Salisu.
Others at the meeting included the Chairman of the Northwest Development Commission, Hon. Samaila Yakawada; Convener of the Tinubu/Uba Sani Network, Dr Aminu Zaria; Senator Shehu Sani and Comrade Yerima Shettima, among other party leaders and stakeholders.
Speaking at the meeting, Mamman Lagos challenged APC stakeholders to translate their political influence into actual votes by ensuring victory at their respective polling units and local government areas.
He said political leaders must not assume that their positions alone would guarantee electoral victory, stressing that every stakeholder must work at the grassroots to secure votes for the party.
“Even President Tinubu will travel to Lagos on election day to win his polling unit, his local government and his state. Therefore, each of us must ensure victory at our polling units and local governments, and, if possible, across the state,” Lagos said.
He commended Governor Uba Sani for refunding nomination fees to aspirants who could not secure the party’s tickets and for reaching out to aggrieved aspirants and members to reconcile them with the party ahead of the elections.
Lagos urged party members to put past differences behind them and work collectively to deliver APC victories across all levels—from the presidential election to the National Assembly, state legislature and other elective positions.
The stakeholders consequently reaffirmed their commitment to party unity, grassroots mobilisation and collective victory in 2027, endorsing the candidates from Zone 2 and pledging to deliver the APC from “top to bottom.”
