2023: Wike Storms Kaduna, Lobby Delegates

…Donates 200 Million Naira To IDPs

In continuation of  vote-seeking  tour from delegates of people’s Democratic Party (PDP), ahead  party’s primaries, Governor Nyeson Wike, Monday stormed Kaduna, pledging to send the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) packing from Aso Rock if given Presidential ticket of  his Party.
The Rivers State Governor announced the donation of 200 million naira to internally displaced persons and victims of ethno – religious conflicts in Kaduna State.
Wike was accompanied by former governors of Kaduna and Gombe states , Ahmed Makarfi and Ibrahim Dankwambo respectively to the party’s Secretariat where he was received by state Chairman of PDP, Felix Hyat and other executive members of the party.
Wike lambasted the present administration for failing to redeem her campaign promises to Nigerians, saying the ruling APC had made life difficult for Nigerians in the midst of economic hardship, insecurity, uncontrollable inflation, free fall of the naira among others.
He said 2023 election would be a decisive moment for his party to dislodge APC and set new direction for the country towards economic recovery, urging the over 70 Kaduna delegates to vote him as the party’s presidential candidate at primaries.
“I assure you, I will defeat any candidate of APC hands down in a free and fair contest in 2023.
” I will live by my words of rebuilding this nation and setting it on the path of economic recovery anchored on security, unity, justice and commitment to welfare of the masses.
” Our party needs a strong man with determination to wrestle power from APC and that man is Nyeson Wike, ” he assured.
Former Governor of Kaduna state and one time caretaker chairman of PDP, Ahmed Muhammad Makarfi declared that he would have made Wike President if election were by appointment because, according to him the Rivers number one citizen  possessed all the needed qualities required to unseat APC, pledging his support and those of the delegates for the aspirant.
Kaduna PDP Chairman, Felix Hassan Hyat in his speech commended Wike for standing up for the party on several occasions when it mattered most,  promising to utilize the sum contributed for the purpose it was meant for .
