ASATTAHIR Commiserates With Victims Of Sokoto Central Market Fire Disaster

The Board of Trustees, Management and Staff of ASATTAHIR International Foundation has commiserates with victims of the tragedy of fire outbreak at the Sokoto Central Market.
It was made known in a statement signed by Prof. Yahaya T. Baba, the Chief Executive Officer and Secretary, Board of Trustees.
It stated that, they were sad with the incident which occured in the early hours of Tuesday, the 19th day of January, 2021.
“This sad occurrence is undoubtedly a major setback for the economy of not only Sokoto state but Nigeria as a whole.
“As a multi-billion Naira stock of investments and economic holdings for government, business individuals, groups and organizations, the fire disaster afflicts many corporations, shareholders, business partners, merchants, entrepreneurs and different groups of consumers across the country and beyond.  “It is in recognition of this sad development in one of the most  trying times of global economic contraction, accentuated by the spread of Covid-19 that we sympathize with victims for the huge losses that are yet to be estimated.
“As major stakeholders, ASATTAHIR International Foundation also commiserates with the Government and People of Sokoto state, the Sultanate Council and in particular the Chamber of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture, Sokoto state Chapter.
“It is our fervent prayer that Almighty Allah will give the victims the courage to withstand this tribulation and that He will replenish them as they strive to recover from the shocks and the losses therefrom.
“Once again, we are deeply saddened by the fire disaster and trust that Allah in his infinite mercies and benevolence is sufficient to the victims as they strive to surmount the distress” it added.
