Former Aviation Minister Hon. Felix Hassan Hyat has been reelected as the Kaduna Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) for another term of four years.
Also returned elected are Hon. Ibrahim Lawal Nuhu as State Deputy Chairman, Hon. Ibrahim Aliyu Wusono State Secretary, Hon Kasimu S. Zamani as State Treasurer, Hon. Abdullahi Rilwanu State Financial Secretary.
Hon. Magaji Ahmed Jarma was elected as State Organizing Secretary, Musa Gaga Kukui State Auditor, Hon. Abraham A. Catoh State Publicity Secretary, Hon. Murna S. Amboson State Qomen leader, Hon. Aliyu Bello State Youth Leader and Barrister Ibrahim Khalid as State Legal Adviser.
In a keely contestes state delegate election that lasted for two days at the Kaduna International trade fair complex with a total of 2655, Hon. Hyat polled 1907 votes to defeat his only rival Ashafa Waziri who polled 471 votes. Hon. Wusono polled 1779 votes to defeat Bashir Aliyu (Dan Maraya) who polled 320 votes.
The Chairman electoral committee Chief Ramon Dabo who presided over the election declared Hon. Hyat has duly returned elected State Chairman haven stiafied all the election requirement and scored the highest votes of valid votes.
He commended the delegates for good conduct before, during and after the election while calling on those who emerged victorious to be magnanimous in victory.
In his acceptance speech, Hon. Hyat commended the delegates for yet another confidence reposed on him to pilot the affairs of the State for another four years.
“I congrate all the winners and all other contestants in the election, my doors are open to all in our collective quest to give PDP good standing preparatory to take over power in the state”.
Meanwhile, the State caretaker committee Hon. Bashir Tanimu Dustinma has officially handed over leadership of the State to the new reelected Chairman.
