Chairman Of Giwa Local Government Area, Hon. Abubakar Shehu Giwa has informed the people of his local government that following the application of hard work for the development of the area, results have started yielding positively.
The council boss, added that since the inception of this administration, they are thankful to the Almighty Allah for the results such hard-work has begun to yield.
In a statement signed he personally signed, Hon Giwa commended the people of his local government for their support and promised not to let them down, as he will continue to deliver more projects to the local government area.
Speaking on some of the dividends expected in the local government area, he mentioned construction/building of information and communications technology centre which will be equipped with computer sets and other gadgets.
“We have been lobbying for it and it has finally been signed and sealed. Nomination has been released with my name attached, as it is visibly contained in the attached letter.
“The centre will be situated at Dr. Shehu Lawal Girls Secondary School Giwa and the project is sponsored by the Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC).
“We have supported it, we are supporting it and will remain supportive to the project until it’s successfully inaugurated and ready for use.
“That was why we sponsored 10 of our youth on ICT training which lasted for three months in Kaduna metropolis, and gave them 10 brand laptops to have the required skills before the center comes to fruition.
“Construction of Library which we have been actively working alongside Permanent Secretary, Ministry for Local Government to see to its successful construction in our local government and all praises are due to the Almighty Allah for making it possible. I have provided land where the library will be sited. The construction commences very soon insha Allah,” he assured.
According to him, “We are conscious of the oath of office we took when we were assuming duty as leaders. Our top priority is the welfare of our people who stood under sun for hours to ensure that we emerged winners during elections.
“We have pledged to be up and doing to see that we provide our people with infrastructure and to even go extra miles in search of more if need be. At this point, I wish to gladly inform you that there are many dividends underway which we hope to publicly announce to you whenever the time is right for that.
“Our hope is to leave behind solid and lasting legacies that will benefit you and our future generations”.
