Disinfection and fumigation are integral part of Infection Prevention and Control. Fumigation is a process of destroying micro and macro-orgarnism using chemicals. These chemicals which could be disinfectants and fumigants can be dispersed in form of fog, mist, dew, solid and liquid. The chemical that is commonly used for fumigation and disinfection of the environment is sodium hypochlorite.
HIS IMPERIAL MAJESTY O’ONI OF IFE, ADEYEYE ENITAN OGUNWUSI, OJAJA II has developed the conception of Motorised Modular Fumigator by House of Oduduwa Machine and Tools. This initiative, by His Imperial Majesty O’oni of Ife is to fight against the transmission of Corona virus (COVID-19) which is transmitted through respiratory droplets, which can rest on surfaces for hours and can be transferred from these surfaces through contact.
His Imperial Majesty O’oni of Ife donated two Motorized Modular Fumigator to the Nigerian Army. At the occasion, the Chief of Army Staff, Lieutenant General Tukur Yusufu Buratai was ably represented by the General Officer Commanding 2 Division Nigerian Army, Maj Gen AB Omozoje at the Palace of His Imperial Majesty, Ile-Ife, Osun State. At the ceremony witnessed by Council of Traditional rulers and Chiefs under His Imperial Majesty O’oni of Ife, His Imperial Majesty O’oni of Ife, ADEYEYE ENITAN OGUNWUSI, OJAJA II praised and admired the Nigerian Army for her good representation of the Nigerian Nation.
This gesture of His Imperial Majesty is not only enjoyed by the Nigerian Army but also many communities in the country. Today, the Nigerian Army took delivery of Two Motorized Modular Fumigators from the House of Oduduwa Machine and Tools courtesy of His Imperial Majesty O’oni of Ife, similar to the ones delivered to many communities in the country courtesy of His Imperial Majesty. This is a homegrown effort of His Imperial Majesty O’oni of Ife to combat CORONA VIRUS DISEASE (COVID-19).
