Senator Uba Sani Urges Kadpoly Alumni Members To Uplift Institution

Kaduna Tribunal Dismisses Shehu Sani’s Petition For Lack Of Merit

The Senator representing Kaduna Central, Senator Uba Sani has challenged the Alumni members of Kaduna Polytechnic towards the upliftment of the institution.
He was speaking at this year’s general meeting of the Alumni Association of the Polytechnic. He decried the dilapidated nature of structure in the polytechnic which calls for urgent and proactive approach.
Senator Sani called on all members of the Alumni Association to come together to salvage the institution and restore its lost glory.
He added that efforts was on at the national level to ensure convertion of the Kaduna polytechnic to a university to adequately face the current challenge of science and technology.
Senator Uba Sani announced that as part of his support to educational development, he is currently sponsoring about one hundred students in the college of forestry Kaduna.
In a remark the Rector Kaduna Polytechnic, Professor Idris Bugaje extolled the virtues of the Alumni members of the institution for their unmeasurable contribution to the upliftment of the school in all ramifications.
He appealed to the Alumni members, governments and other spirited individuals and group to come to the aid of the polytechnic to its problems of infrastructural decay and other problems.
The Guest Speaker and first chairman Kaduna Polytechnic Alumni Association, Professor David Iornem in a paper in partnership with the Governor Minister of State of Education Professor Jerry Agada, identified Kaduna Polytechnic as a stepping stone for science and technological development in the country.
According to them the role of alumni members working together in a strong association is critical I maintaining this leadership.
The two alumni members of the polytechnic further contended that a cursory mention of challenges of the Kaduna Polytechnic brings about issue of transforming the institution into a technological university.
Professor Iornem and Agada are of the view that a move in that direction will benefit the careers motivation of the students, the lecturers and the administrative staff of the institution.
